Elsewhere, Betty and Kate attend services at Leon's church; and Vera discovers the perks of being helpful to soldiers.
- E4 Guests of Honour Lorna plans a dinner to celebrate Eugene's success. Vera and Carol move towards a tenuous friendship despite their differences. Kate decides to move on with her life
